Cherry Delight Chocolate Bark

Updated: Mar 22, 2022

#GUILTFREECHOCOLATE yes, yes and yes you read that right, I do not know about you but sometimes I just need chocolate, even if I want to be healthy.

Growing up, I sort of grew up with the idea that actually to be healthy you needed to cut out all carbs, cut out all the "bad" food from your life and that was the only way to be healthy and "happy". ( I may add that this was not something my lovely folks taught me, this was a bi product of what I was surrounded by) It was in fashion to be super slim, size zero to be exact, yet appear to the world that you ate horribly, lots of junk and unhealthy choices, very publicly and somehow be super slim.

I am so pleased that the world has moved on to a much more sensible approach, where being healthy really is the 'in' thing and it really does help because so many people share information about how they eat and how they balance a healthy relationship with food.

Making healthy food aesthetically pleasing and yummy delicious !

I digress, let us come back to the matter at hand, I do love finding a sweet treat that is truly indulgent, well balanced and a healthy option. It makes it all the more enjoyable and none of that after guilt, so here is my simple, super quick and easy recipe for a dark chocolate bark.

Ingredients:

70g Coconut Oil

50g Raw Cacao Powder (or you could use, unsweetened Cacao)

80g Honey

1/2 tsp Sea Salt

Toppings:

Method:

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave, or in a small pot, and allow to cool a little

Sieve the Cacao powder and add to the oil adding in the honey and salt.

Line a baking tray with a baking sheet and pour the chocolate onto the sheet spreading as thinly as you would like.

Add the Sour Cherry delight and salt flakes to taste.

Refrigerate, then with a sharp knife cut up the bark into pieces.

I told you it was super, simple and easy and the best part is you can use this recipe to curb those cravings at any time as it takes minutes !

Keep the chocolate bark stored in the fridge.

Let us know if you try this recipe out, we would be delighted to hear your thoughts and see your photo remakes :)

Enjoy !

With love,
